Holistic Healing for Animals

New Book written by tortoises!

Animal Reiki and communicationPosted by Stacey Adele Sat, January 14, 2017 12:34:58
My new book Tales from a Tortoise is now available on Amazon. It was written from conversations with tortoises and gives an insight into how the find life in captivity and tips for good tortoise care. I hope it will give people a new appreciation for tortoises and open up aspects of their world even current tortoise lovers may not expect.

Once I sell enough to make it worthwhile 10% of the profits will go to Re-herp Foundation in memory of Henk Zwerport who sadly passed last year. Re-herp helps to maintain captive populations of the rarer tortoise species and links to projects occurring in their natural habitat where captive tortoises will one day be released.

Losing an animal friend

Animal Reiki and communicationPosted by Stacey Adele Fri, December 09, 2016 18:10:10
Losing an animal friend is always tough, but especially so when you have had them in your family for many years or the loss is unexpected. I have had my fair share of loss of animal friends, increased by taking in rescues with health issues. It doesn't get easier, but it can be helped by using Reiki and other forms of energy therapy.

I recently sent distance Reiki and communication to a horse who became ill suddenly and the vets could not find exactly what was wrong. Unfortunately she deteriorated quickly and eventually the decision was taken to put her to sleep. I know however from feedback from close friends that the horse and her human benefitted from the Reiki being sent not just by me but many people who all wanted to help.

It helped to ease some of the pain, to help the human know they were supported and many people were coming together in unity for them. I also know from the horse that she welcomed the healing energy as it comforted her and eased the pain, keeping her calm and making it easier on both her and her human. It also gave her the strength to decide to fight and also the strength to know she could let go if it became too much as people were there for her human and that death does not mean the end.

It was a privilege to help such a brave and special soul. xxx

Why we should do all we can for our animals

Animal Reiki and communicationPosted by Stacey Adele Sat, October 15, 2016 13:50:58

Our animals are members of the family; they are best friends, protectors, entertainers and sometimes workers (eg assistance dogs, sheep dogs). They help keep us grounded and relaxed and become a refuge for us when we need a non-judgemental individual to talk to. They bring joy to millions and make a house a home.

They can save our lives – depressed people find comfort in animals that can reduce the chance of doing something they might regret; animals give people with disability and pain a reason to keep going. They can change our lives - many homeless people feel better with an animal beside them as the animal gives them an identity; autistic children learn to bond with animals; rats sniff out landmines to make places safer…the list could go on!

So with all the positive influences they have on us we should do all we can for them to keep them healthy and happy. Alongside the normal things of a good diet, toys and expert vet care, animal communication and Reiki can help with health maintenance.

Reiki helps to:

  • Balance the body’s natural energy flow
  • Remove energy blockages which can lead to dis-ease (and thus disease)
  • Provide full body relaxation
  • Stimulate the body’s own healing mechanisms and cell rejuvenation
  • Ease/help release emotional trauma
  • Ease change such as moving home or changes to family structure
  • Allow the body to process medication more comfortably

Communication helps to:

· Increase your understanding of your animals thoughts and feelings, including what they think of their life and if there is anything you can do to make their world complete

· Gain insight into an animal whose past is unclear, but is potentially affecting their health now

· Enable your animal let go of emotional trauma they are holding onto

Case study: Reiki for Gromit

Animal Reiki and communicationPosted by Stacey Adele Sat, October 15, 2016 08:47:41

The purpose of this case study is to give you an insight into the kind of things I pick up when undertaking a Reiki session and some of the tips I give the humans for ongoing holistic health management. Of course continued working with their vet is always a requirement.

Gromit is a 10 year old Labrador that belongs to my recently extended family. He has lived with his lady since he was a pup and she informed me his skin has been itchy and red for a long time. He is on numerous medications for this including steroids. Gromit is also overweight and has been since he was castrated. The vet has confirmed Labradors can put on weight rapidly following castration.

I gave the elderly pooch some Reiki when we were over visiting family and picked up the following:

- Digestive issues highlighted by a dip in energy around his lower gut area and via communication: Gromit feels he doesn’t get all he needs from his food (eg can’t absorb all vitamins etc.) and is constantly hungry

- Possible hormonal imbalance picked up via communication from Gromit: he feels ‘edgy’ and like ‘things are all over the place at times’

- A general feeling of stress (energy imbalances picked up via Reiki scan, and it is also how I felt when I first laid hands on him) - he picks up emotions from his human family

- Sore eyes – they looked sore and he confirmed to me they felt sore and dry

- The stress, hormonal imbalance (edginess) and digestive issues were I felt a strong contributing factor behind his poor skin and eyes

How I helped him and further tips for his family:

- Balanced his energy flow from dorsal to ventral side using Reiki

- Helped to open his sacral (hormones) and solar-plexus (digestion) Chakra’s using Reiki to get the energy flowing more smoothly as there were clear blockages

- Reiki for his gut – moving along his gut as he rolled onto his back and made deep sighs and yawning sounds

- Suggested black tourmaline to reduce his stress (helps keep you grounded and reduces absorption of negativity from the environment) and therefore helps with hormonal balancing. I also suggested using moonstone in combination (I know this is usually female energy related but I did feel he needed it)

- Suggested fluorite to aid digestion and for good absorption of minerals
